Is this a US visa?
No. The ESTA is a visa-waiver travel authorization, not a visa. It covers tourism, business, and transit up to 90 days. If you're not ESTA-eligible (e.g. due to certain history), you'd need a B1/B2 visa at the embassy.
How long is the ESTA valid?
Two years from approval, or until your passport expires — whichever comes first. During that time you can enter the US multiple times, each stay up to 90 days.
Can I speed it up?
There's no official express service. Most approvals come back within minutes, but CBP recommends applying at least 72 hours before your flight, to be safe.
I've visited Iran/Iraq/Syria — does that matter?
Yes. Travel to certain countries since 2011, or dual nationality of them, usually removes VWP eligibility and requires a regular visa. We'll flag it in advance and explain the steps.
How to get a US ESTA from Israel
