Tanzania FAQ
How long will the visa take?
Up to 10 working days. We recommend filing about two weeks ahead, as Tanzania can take longer than other countries.
Is Zanzibar a separate destination?
Zanzibar is part of Tanzania and the same visa is valid there. Zanzibar also requires mandatory travel insurance bought separately — we'll remind you about it.
Do I need a yellow fever vaccination?
If arriving directly from Israel usually not, but if transiting through a country with yellow fever risk a vaccination certificate may be required. Check based on your flight route.
Tanzania e-Visa from Israel
Tanzania lets Israeli citizens obtain an electronic tourist visa online, without visiting an embassy. You apply on the official government portal, including personal details, passport details, a port of entry (Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam, or Zanzibar), accommodation address, photo, and passport scan. We complete and file all of it for you in Hebrew, after a careful human check.
Safari, Zanzibar, and processing times
Whether you're planning a Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater safari or a Zanzibar beach holiday, the same tourist visa applies. Note that Tanzania may take up to 10 working days to approve — longer than other destinations — so it's worth starting early. Zanzibar also has a mandatory travel-insurance requirement bought separately, which we'll remind you about.
