Visa Photo Rejected — What Israelis Need to Fix

If the portal rejected the application because of a photo or passport scan, eligibility is usually not the issue — the file failed an automated spec. Reshoot on a white background, with every passport corner visible, and file again. In Vietnam and India that kind of rejection can mean a second government fee. Thailand's TDAC does not need a photo at all.
What the rejection actually means
e-Visa portals check photos by machine before a person sees them. A message like "photo does not meet requirements" or "unclear biodata page" is a file failure, not a refusal of entry to the country.
Do not resubmit the same JPG. The authority will reject it again, and sometimes charge a new fee. Fix the file first.
The usual reasons for Israelis
A car selfie, a non-white wall, glasses, a hat, or a heavily compressed WhatsApp passport scan. A finger over the passport number or glare on the laminate also fails the check.
- Background that is not plain white (wall, curtain, window behind you)
- Angled face, wide smile, or hair covering an ear when required
- Passport scan missing a corner, or a folded page
- File too large or too small for that destination's spec
What to reshoot, by destination
Vietnam and India need both a portrait and a bio-page scan. Morocco is strict on sharpness and name matching. Azerbaijan often needs only a sharp scan, not a separate portrait.

If you already paid the authority and were rejected on the file, filing again without a fix wastes money. We check files in Hebrew against that destination's spec before sending — so you do not pay twice for the same mistake.
