Israelis enter for tourism visa-free. You must complete the Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within 72 hours before arrival. Without confirmation you can be held up at the border. Thailand is moving in 2026 from a 60-day to a 30-day exemption — check the current period and plan conservatively.
Where to start
Most Israelis land in Bangkok. Two or three days in the city (temples, street food, night markets) then a domestic flight to Chiang Mai or the islands. Phuket and Krabi are easier first-timer islands than Koh Phangan if you're not chasing parties.
Money, traffic, and insurance
Baht in cash for markets and tuk-tuks; cards in cities. Traffic is dangerous — especially on scooters. If you ride, make sure travel insurance covers it (many policies don't). Skip tap water. Temples: cover shoulders and knees.
