Kenya eTA for Israelis — After You Booked Flights

Since 2024 Kenya no longer issues a regular tourist visa — every Israeli traveler needs an eTA from etakenya.go.ke before check-in, even if the flight is already paid. Government fee $30, single entry, stay up to 90 days, use it within 90 days of issue, processing up to 3 working days. Children need their own eTA.

You booked a safari — file 3–5 days before departure
Do not wait until Istanbul airport. The eTA is tied to the passport you present on entry. Passport valid 6 months and two blank pages.
Cost and documents
$30 government fee, separate from the service fee. Passport photo, passport scan, and a stay address (lodge or Nairobi hotel).
Kenya plus Uganda or Tanzania
A Kenya eTA does not cover Tanzania. For a combined Uganda/Rwanda route there is an East Africa Tourist Visa — we do not file that by default; we can advise from the tickets you already bought.

I heard the visa was abolished — why pay?
The visa was replaced by an eTA that is mandatory before the flight. Without it the airline can refuse boarding.
Are you Kenya's website?
No. etakenya.go.ke is official. We complete it in Hebrew.
