What is ETIAS?
ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorisation System) is the EU's electronic travel authorization — similar to the US ESTA. It's not a visa, but a pre-travel registration that screens visa-exempt travelers, including Israelis.
Will Israelis need ETIAS?
Yes — once live, Israelis flying visa-free to Schengen/Europe will need an approved ETIAS before their flight, in addition to a passport. As of July 2026 it's not yet mandatory — but rollout is expected gradually from late 2026.
How much is it expected to cost?
The planned fee is €7 per traveler (over 18). Approval is expected to be valid for 3 years or until passport expiry. Check the official status before every booking — timelines can shift.
